Two kinds of reports, one place to check before you fly into an unimproved field
🌾 A Field Report is ground truth from a pilot who actually put wheels down: surface, runway, wildlife, obstacles, access/permission, density altitude, fuel/water. The stuff the FAA will never publish but that decides whether you land.
File a Field Report for any non-towered strip with an unimproved surface: grass, turf, gravel, dirt, sand, or snow. Remote backcountry strips, county and municipal turf fields, ranch and private strips, seldom-used crosswind runways: if the surface can go soft, rutted, dusty, or overgrown between visits, it belongs here.
A wet turf runway at a valley airport strands an airplane the same way a wet backcountry strip does, and neither one shows up in an official NOTAM. Perishable ground conditions are the test, not how far you are from pavement. Pick any field from the list, or type in one that isn't there.
Paved, towered fields already publish their closures and surface notices through official channels; check those first. Field Reports fill the gap where nobody else looks.

Reports cover the fiscal year you pick. Dues, sponsors, grants, prizes, scholarships, store orders and mission fuel share are all counted by their fiscal year, so every total and ratio on the report matches the year printed on it. Member-service costs are annual budget lines and apply to whichever year is selected.
